Sometimes it seems the truth shakes out more plainly from a random shuffle than from anyone's plan for anything.<br /><br />I am permanently uncomfortable with fiction because the positing of people's interior lives seems laden with dangers and risks of various kinds. We are, I believe, always to a large degree "blind" both as to our own needs and motives, and as to those of others.
