Coincidentally, a couple of us almost traveled to Varanasi the last week until the Gods of water & intestines intervened. But with such great friends at hand, the Gods have been uprooted for now. The heart is warmed evermore with all of your wishes.adityahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16078144194220301083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445844569294316288.post-50897459929892671992011-05-01T08:07:22.278-07:002011-05-01T08:07:22.278-07:00Barry: "Four baby lines, AA BB, and a dialect...Barry: "Four baby lines, AA BB, and a dialectical-materialist critique of the genesis of Christian morality."

A perfect encapsulation of Blake's genius.

Don states the pertinent feeling here, "to accept the truth beyond...despair is the way."

Manik: please pass along all good thoughts to Aditya from everyone, including the humans.TChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05915822857461178942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445844569294316288.post-48801450308186847232011-05-01T04:04:04.531-07:002011-05-01T04:04:04.531-07:00Manik, please send my best to Aditya ...

Where he leaves us, the photographs take over.

My mind returns again and again to the recent pictures from Alabama. How we shield ourselves from the truth, always, and how the truth finds us nonetheless.

What is beautiful, if I can use that word, about these photographs is they merge us all, West and East, in that truth - the Blake poem has something of an Eastern sentiment.

To accept the truth beyond that despair is the way.

Still, it is so very difficult at times.Issa's Untidy Huthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352841590717991698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445844569294316288.post-86057867456489066892011-04-30T10:43:46.598-07:002011-04-30T10:43:46.598-07:00Then Humility takes its root

...Then Humility takes its root
Underneath his foot.

Tom - As so often, I should know this, but I didn't. Thanks once again for plugging the holes in my reading. Four baby lines, AA BB, and a dialectical-materialist critique of the genesis of Christian morality. Staggering.

Here's a few thoughts on Blake from Kenneth Rexroth that you might not have come across:
http://www.cddc.vt.edu/bps/rexroth/essays/blake.htmBarry Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02121653352771218338noreply@blogger.com
