"flyspeck" or, in my case, eucalyptus branch -- not on "the windshield of the universe" perhaps but my car parked in the driveway last spring ("spiderweb cracking") another branch from same tree smashing the front hood 2 weeks ago -- and now the wind is howling, I wonder what I'll find when I go out this morning. . .

light coming into sky above still black ridge, white half moon next to branches in foreground, sound of wave in channel
“time” the name of the word, event in which itself
the picture half unfinished, is “nothing,” perhaps
silver of sunlight reflected in channel, shadowed green slope of ridge across it

ReplyDeleteSteve,
Ventured out at midnight, confronted by lashing wind and rain, abandoned the deck, crawled back into the cabin.
“time” the name of the word,
event in which itself
the picture half unfinished,
is “nothing,” perhaps
