Lies
A better tomorrow
All your yesterdays
Executive class
Mindfulness
And all the rest
Of the best of what's left
When the launch comes
Back down
As you're listening
For your heart beat
The numbers aren't moving
And nobody likes that.
The music plays
Even though the numbers are broken.
Stop looking
So disappointed.
Tonight, in the evil
Moonlight
The ancestors are with us.

    David and Terry, vast thanks, you beauties you.

    Neglecting the opportunity to desecrate the moon by colonizing it might possibly constitute the one small dumb step mankind has not managed to take.

    Or so I thought until two days ago, when I read an article on one of those triumphalist tech sites in which it was proposed that mineral extraction on the moon might answer all "our" future energy needs.

    Duh, you mean the planet isn't already powered by green cheese?
