The Sky Is Crying (Near the River Bottom)

.
Messenger's Cafe | by ADMurr

Messenger's Cafe. [Clarksdale, MS.] The Messenger family has owned businesses in Clarksdale since about 1903, and this club is reputed to be the oldest continuously operated black-owned business in the area. In 1941, Fisk University sociologists meticulously noted the names of every song on the jukebox at Messenger's and four other clubs, and last year an import label published a multi-disk set of them all.: photo by Andrew Murr, 25 August 2017

Not surprised to see scene like this, and expect many more. #Harvey and nationalism, entangled and highly-charged. @AFPphoto: image via Reading The Pictures @ReadingThePix, 27 August 2017

Heartbreaking photo. And heartbreaking accusations of fake news. #Harvey as incomparable a moral as humanitarian crisis in Trump age.
