Trump claimed he would be able to tell quickly if the North Korean
leader was serious about dismantling his nuclear and missile programmes
and would walk away if Kim was not.
“How long will it take to figure out if they’re serious? … Maybe in
the first minute. You know, the way they say you know if you’re going to
like somebody in the first five seconds, you ever hear that one? I
think very quickly I’ll know whether or not something good is going to
happen. And if I think it won’t happen, I’m not going to waste my time. I
don’t want to waste his time.”
Asked how he would read Kim so swiftly, Trump said: “My touch, my feel, that’s what I do.”

"Hölderlin's Tower"----wonderful piece of work.
ReplyDeleteTeddy Pendergrass (1950-2010): Love TKO (live, Hammersmith Odeon London, February 1982)
ReplyDelete"Tried to take control of the love
ReplyDeleteLove took control of me".
"Friedrich Friedrich
Stay in your tower"
Damn good advice, I'd say.
"...everybody rushes to approve
what sells"
...and the clamour and heat of the market is more intense than ever.
Teddy was in a nasty accident ("took control of me") shortly after dropping Love TKO, suffered paralyisis, worked to regain his voice - one of the great singers - by 19 years later was able, with mechanical assistance, to perform that song again.
