A spiky
aromatic
aromatic
fragrance, a bravery
Your light, which has always shown
brightest against
the darkness around it

"a bravery"
ReplyDeleteIn the end, I think that's the quality I most admire. It cuts through all things and can also open you up to all things.
The lowermost wild angelica photo will stay with me the longest, I think.
Curtis
Thanks Curtis, yes, that is one proud and unapologetic wild thing, standing tall there beneath the lowering sky "beside exclosure Lochan na Larige dam".
ReplyDeleteA handsome, rank and hardy plant that has emblematic qualities for sure.
I've been pondering the meaning of Exclosure these past few nights. It means keeping the unwanted animals out. Perhaps not always so easy.
But Wild Angelica will settle for Enclosure or Exclosure, so long as there's room to breathe.
Beautiful flowers, like tiny stars. And the tenacity.
ReplyDeleteYour light, which has always shown brightest against
the darkness around it.
Best kind of light there is.
Thanks very much, Duncan.
ReplyDeleteSo true, as long as there is air to breathe.
But there's a shadow, now.
What a moving tribute to a flower and a loved one.
ReplyDeleteThe truest beauty, where and when it's most needed.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, friends.
