Unstoppable

.
An artists impression released by the the European Southern Observatory (ESO) on May 2, 2016 shows an imagined view from close to one of the three planets orbiting an ultracool dwarf star just 40 light-years from Earth that were discovered using the TRAPPIST ("TRAnsiting Planets and PlanetesImals Small Telescope") telescope at ESOs La Silla Observatory in Chile. These worlds have sizes and temperatures similar to those of Venus and Earth and are the best targets found so far for the search for life outside the Solar System. They are the first planets ever discovered around such a tiny and dim star. In this view one of the inner planets is seen in transit across the disc of its tiny and dim parent star.

Life was never going have an easy time of it when
The nmur thubs arrayed against it in all their armoured dominion
Became unstoppable
And everybody gave in saying It's too late to begin to attempt to resist
The green latex corporate global re-wilding of a dead freeway future
And then forgave themselves on social media and moved on
And reached out
But nothing alive was left there in the ruins

The scale of disillusionment necessary would be huge if resistance were to have any space to grow.

We're all in the ruins now.

EXPENDABLE HUMAN RESOURCES

But just stop and think—back
Then we never knew how

Much of us was spent—
We’re almost there.

Thanks for the generous words fellows. In a scene of general ruin the existence of similarly bent minds in particular comparable scenes at a great distance is at once encouraging and of course also alas sad (who can enjoy a ruin really) to consider. The only voices we can make out any more seem to be coming from off planet, like they say.
