these are wonderful Tom, and give me a great deal of pause, and remind me that there are compassionate interfaces at work in language
and that vigilance is never easy
in the face of our own cherished inertias, even if those inertias
were originally meant to correct other seeming inertias!

I was hoping you would enjoy these. (Well, I thought that because you are... a writer!)

Indeed it seems the classic grammatical schemata would do well to include more of such compassionate interfaces.

In 1970 I wrote this poem.
