Beyond the Pale
Just when everyone thought it was safe to go back in the water...ole' u.v returns!I love these photos, Tom. I once had a girlfriend from Georgia. It was the Georgia of a different era, of course. These pictures are so romantic. I am always sadenned by how little time we all have in this life. We are all like clouds. One day we are gone and no one will ever see our exact same shape in that same place ever again. It's all so fleeting. That little girl sitting down with the paper cup. Don't you just want to wrap her in cotton wool forever.
Ray,It's great to hear from you, my friend. It's been a bad patch here with health and housing, so I tend to imagine bad patches everywhere, even where they aren't. But I hope it's all come good for you, or approximately -- the best we can hope for "in this life", like they say -- that is, in the only life there is.Thank you for saying so well what cries out to be said about these photos. The best I can do is to repeat your words."I am always saddened by how little time we all have in this life."We are all like clouds. One day we are gone and no one will ever see our exact same shape in that same place ever again. It's all so fleeting..."Yes.(And I am sure you're remembered well in Georgia.)
By the by, Ray, apologies for the bother with the comment mechanism. There had been a quantum jump in brainless spam -- the Costa Rican investment opportunities were getting thicker than flies on old meat, and then came the Salem, Virginia spammer, with daily multiple thousand-word comments each laden with dozens of potency enhancement links... something had to be done. But of course in this domain the attempt to deal with one problem usually creates others.I have had to inform Blogger that you are not spam. (Does Blogger listen?) Please do not be deterred. Your comments always matter to me, and while I live and breathe, I will see to it that they are posted, whatever that takes. Thanks. (And good luck in the pulp fiction wars.)
Yes, I guessed there was some problem with the blogger comments process.Of course, whether or not I am spam is a matter of opinion! But thanks for the vote of confidence. Likewise your own comments mean much to me. Sorry to hear of your difficulties. If I could do anything for you, I would.
Ray, you are in danger of giving spam a good name. And none too soon at that.
