Turning the days
over in the hand
seeing the points
uncertain
as in a clouded prism
seeing the facets
the changing aspects
shifting into view
but not the soul
not the heart

the dark history
hid within
this mystery
undisclosed
concealed
what is it
this unseen
central secret
shadow
buried deep
in the amethyst

Tom,

"what is it
this unseen
central secret
shadow. . ."

1.23

grey whiteness of fog against invisible
ridge, song sparrow calling from branch
in foreground, sound of wave in channel

likeness on paper, sketches
framed in from memory

being that through which it
shows, as this, is it

grey of rain cloud reflected in channel,
shadowed green slope of ridge across it

Steve, many thanks.

I'm still wondering about it.

Vassilis,

I felt that way too... as with those galaxies, last week.

Perhaps it's just the fevers?

The deep, deep core of being, what is at the center of every transcendent haiku ...

Also, with the idea of crystal, and central secrets, you reminded me of this.

Don,

The emerald bones put me in mind of Prospero and the sea-change.
