These (haiku and photos) are lovely. We had a light but manageable snowfall here. While the dogs dislike hard, icy terrain, snow excites them and makes them act like happy children. Seeing miniature dachshunds attack snowpiles equal to or greater to their own height is extremely uplifing. Now the snow needs to go away Immediately. Curtis
I love the cat photo! And I was thinking of posting Pound's snow song. Perhaps tomorrow, when the stupid rain comes to muck it up, I will do so, but for today, it's beautiful--the snow, the sun, the blue sky, only my eyes are burning from the glare.
Tom,
Nice, maybe we can go rain-viewing out here again today, "Till we tumble down". . .

light coming into clouds above shadowed
green ridge, blue jay landing on feeder

which in the center, visual
blue of glass balance
through that, words suggest,
showing as in thought
shadowed grey sky reflected in channel,
gulls circling against canyon of ridge
Thanks, Tom ... beautiful, all around.
let it
snow, let it
snow
let it snow bash
show! :)
O how I would prefer a blanket of soft white snow to these relentless waves and sheets of rain we're having here right now!
Yes, Tom, we too are back to all rain and that comforting snow is rapidly disappearing ... such a mild winter out this way!
Tom,
Thanks for the Basho haiku & beautiful photos.
A snow-lover myself.... joy filled.
Don, Pat, many thanks.
Snow, mildness, Bashô -- yes to all those.
Finally got our first real snow in the city and I felt quite like I imagine cat in the first photo felt.
