Lovely to catch that little glimpse of Audobon in the midst of all those petrolheads.
Hi, Tom,
Enjoying the birds and bikers. I knew we were going to refight the 1990s with Trump and Hillary (& Bill). But did we never move beyond Jane Fonda ("Communist at Heart, Traitor by Choice")?
-David
Thanks very much, Duncan and David. What better way to commemorate yet another cowering, apprehensive, sociophobic national holiday than among similarly maladjusted humanoids. We are the diminishing minority.
There currently appears to be a vogue in aggressive, self-expressive, freedom-loving, large-living motorcycle riding among what were once called the middle classes.
Here, in this waste region of endless freeways and vast "disposable income", we have growing squadrons of lard-bottomed, smartphone-packing accountants, oft with their lard-bottomed, smartphone-packing partners aboard (behind?), mounted on huge fuming metal steeds, zooming continually up and down the already mad avenue in pursuit of... what would it be... well, recreation, presumably... as well as the general destruction of the peace... meanwhile emitting as much racket and stink and localized mayhem as possible... they arrive from afar and climb and descend in packs, particularly on the weekends and inevitable intolerable holidays, much as a plague of locusts, with the qualification that locusts are not fat, loud, ugly, and Republican.
Obnoxious beyond even those few miserable words.
Doubtful that any of these charming Nimrods and Nimrodettes would have even a vague idea of who or what Jane Fonda was or is. But that patch did give rise to the question, do some who are Communists at Heart turn out nonetheless to be NOT Traitors by Choice? Isn't Pro-Choice, in and of itself, a terrible Limbo No-No state? Or is there to be no room left for second thoughts, in this grand museum of patriotic amusements?
