Thanks, Tom. Two great poems. This is from the Guardian last week:
Orwell wrote his masterful text The Lion and the Unicorn (1941) when Europe was tearing itself apart, and the UK’s isolation was more a matter of righteous principle than political chaos. England, he said, “resembles a family, a rather stuffy Victorian family, with not many black sheep in it but with all its cupboards bursting with skeletons. It has rich relations who have to be kowtowed to and poor relations who are horribly sat upon, and there is a deep conspiracy of silence about the source of the family income.”
With the under-25s having so obviously supported one side, and older people the other, the next line is prescient beyond words: “It is a family in which the young are generally thwarted and most of the power is in the hands of irresponsible uncles and bedridden aunts.” And his last line is just as good: “A family with the wrong members in control – that, perhaps, is as near as one can come to describing England in a phrase.”
The young crowd in the M1cafe..." And that will be England gone" ( except it won't be the fault of the Muzzies or the Polish).

And that was England gone and none too soon in the minds of some. Exit Poles show the skeletons pulled a strong majority in their detention centres... that is, closets.
In Huntingdon they are certain the Poles did it.
I do recall Huntingdon as being quite the intellectual centre, in my days of autostopping at its cosmopolitan roundabouts.
Farage has cut quite a figure in his Trump copycatting. Today he went to Brussels to trade air kisses and insults with Juncker. Cameron was then to arrive for dinner with the 27. No doubt that's going on right at the moment, or perhaps just winding up. I can't quite visualize the fun without hallucinogens. David does not go about sharing his pig's head trick with just anyone.
