Thanks for "opening up" that passage in Lolita, which I'd forgotten, but now remember clearly. It is remarkable.
Mayhap we have each of us at one time or another (if not over and over) heard that crash, felt that rush, and uttered that futile cry into that oblivious whipping wind.
