It's that sudden weird abrupt lost-thought-track
out-of-nowhere middle-of-the-night I don't know
where I am I don't know what I'm doing here
but nobody seems to be noticing and maybe
I'm going to be able to pull this off after
all moment -- that insane look
that races across her face like a fleeting cloud
and then as quickly as it came is gone again
that scares me more than all the endless
beaming screaming fake euphoric selfies
when I think about dying in her Murica

[Fame]

  The Queen whom sense of Honor could not move
No longer made a Secret of her Love,
But call’d it Marriage, by that specious Name,
To veil the Crime and sanctifie the Shame.
  The loud Report thro’ Lybian Cities goes;
Fame, the great Ill, from small beginnings grows.
Swift from the first; and ev'ry Moment brings
New Vigour to her flights, new Pinions to her wings.
Soon grows the Pygmee to Gygantic size;
Her Feet on Earth, her Forehead in the Skies:
Inrag’d against the Gods, revengful Earth
Produc’d her last of the Titanian birth.
Swift is her walk, more swift her winged hast:
A monstrous Fantom, horrible and vast;
As many Plumes as raise her lofty flight,
So many piercing Eyes inlarge her sight:
Millions of opening Mouths to Fame belong;
And ev’ry Mouth is furnish’d with a Tongue:
And round with listning Ears the flying Plague is hung.
She fills the peaceful Universe with Cries;
No Slumbers ever close her wakeful Eyes;
By Day from lofty Tow’rs her Head she shews;
And spreads thro’ trembling Crowds disastrous News.
With Court Informers haunts, and Royal Spies,
Things done relates, not done she feigns; and mingles Truth with Lyes.
Talk is her business, and her chief delight
To tell of Prodigies, and cause affright.
She fills the Peoples Ears with Dido’s Name;
Who, lost to Honour, and the sense of Shame,
Admits into her Throne and Nuptial Bed
A wandring Guest, who from his Country fled:
Whole days with him she passes in delights,
And wasts in Luxury long Winter Nights.
Forgetful of her Fame, and Royal Trust,
Dissolv’d in Ease, abandon’d to her Lust.

I see you've captured her runaway train of thought perfectly but the question remains: Can she still make the 3.10 to Yuma this Fall? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeroJ1BK6GQ

You know, Tom, I've seen some of her photos in the Guardian over the last few weeks and felt uneasy about them without being able to pinpoint the source of my unease. But, yes, "the insane look"..on the other hand, Lewinsky is looking good!

:-)

I'm not going to suggest that a crazed right wing nut supercapitalist warmongress in a repurposed maternity sack who grew up rich, stayed rich, eagerly serves the interests of the rich, motivates for regime change in subservient client states as constantly as she swaps hideous power outfits, is fiercely loyal to Wall Street and the Permanent War Machine of which she is the issue, and now will not let up with the shrieking and the selfies until she becomes POTUS, or the 3:10 gets to Yuma (whichever happens first), is not worthy of our respect.

No. Check out the facts, make up your mind for yourself.

this is the problem with pinning everything on one person. we all
have moments where we don't know what the hell we're doing or even
where we are really. and think about the 24/7 non-stop bullet train
of campaigning and being here one hour, there the next... so i don't
mind that look on her face so much as i mind the idea of ANYONE being
selected as the ONE PERSON who is supposed to be THE ANSWER, i don't
care who it is... NO ONE for POTUS!
