A Love Doll is exhibited at Vanilla Gallery in Tokyo, Japan. The Japanese sex doll maker Orient Industry exhibited their life size Love Dolls in “Artificial OTOME (girl) Museum,” in collaboration with Vanilla Gallery. The main market for these Love Dolls are not only the collectors who love to live with them, but also others including widowers.: photo by Taro Karibe, 28 April 2016
Not only to learn to love to live with them but to learn to love them is all that's required of us during the exhibition
They don't ask very much of us really
But / and to live with them
Is a step up for us a step out of the lowly husks of beings we were in our miserable permanent toil and squalor
But / and
The slots were not what we thought they were we thought they were eyes
Smiling at us with happiness
Love and happiness
Happiness and love and that other thing
What was it again
The love dolls with their smiling slots have come to promise all these things to us and these are the best
Promises anyone has ever made to us
So we do the best we can to learn to love to embrace them and to live with them and to love them
Not that the mud and squalor ever really bothered us all that much but still just saying

Wonderful poem. Those dolls are spookily real-looking. With love dolls, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality porn, what shall become of poor Libido in the human future?
Ah Poor Libido -- fond memory, collector's fetish, convenient scapegoat, answer to a trivia question, uninvited guest to the Future Party!
That awful moment of near passion when one notices the seams... and at the same moment, the fact she's looking so adoringly and teasingly not at you, but at your scapula!
